Re: Quick computer compatability question
For tolerable gaming experience, I would say that you need at least 512MB more memory and that X300 graphics card is kinda waste. I don't knowabout that Pentium processor, past 8 years I have had AMD myself. I guess it will do the job but only just.
Don't get me wrong, that computer will start the game and it will run also, but you will not enjoy the game too much. Then again it can eat 2GB RAM and I presume that mother board can handle faster processors. Most important feature for you to note is that there is a PCI-E slot for the graphics card. That is a good thing all new cards are designed to PCI-E. So in conclusion you can buy this and upgrade it later if money is right now the question.
Hope this helps

Re: Quick computer compatability question
Not off the shelf that system wont run BF2.
-Processor speed is ok
-RAM needs to be upped (I would personally recommend 2 Gig)
-New Graphics Card is a must (buy the best you can afford)
[if you have the money go for the ATI Radeon X1950XTX]
Just 2 cents from a reinstated Geek Squad Agent

at least 1 gb of ram, but 2 is prefered, but right now 2 gb of decent ram is about half the price of that system.
