Medusa 5.1 Surround Surround Headset!

Hi I am wondering if someone can help me. I got these Medusa 5.1 Surround Headset. I am trying to set them up for Bf2. I would like to do the setup so I can hear them in surroundsound. Do I put the audio in the hardware or in the software. I am using onboard sound from my MB, I do have a Audigy2 zs gamer but I took it out because it gave me problem with BF2.

PS I seem to tweak where they sound find in the game but I can't tell if a shot came from the back of me left or right of me.

Bcuz your onboard sound doesnt support 5.1 surround sound.

Are you sure I thought I had 7.1 surround sound, ok how about the Audigy2 zs gamer does suport surrond sound.

not sure about ur soundcard but ifu can find like its control panel, u can set it to like headphone mode, stereo (2 speakers) mode, quadrophonic (4 speakers) mode, and 5.1 and 7.1

and for the audigy 2, there have been fixes for some problems with the wrapper, so if u want to plug it back in and use the tweak to see if it fixes it for u

Ya onboard sound (500 and 600 series) support onboard sound, with 5.1, not sure about 7.1.
but yes thats why you cant hear surround sound is becuz ur onboard sound card does NOT support it.

Ok I install my Audigy2 ZS gamer and was able to get the headsets working somewhat, This is what I did in the game I setup my audio to hardware and on high, and I get surroundsound I mean I hear bullets pass in my right ear and left ear. I hear explosion great left right front , but when I hear explosion in the rear they sound real tiny. Now with the software that comes with my Soundcard I was able to tweak where music sounds great. Not sure what to do from here.

They sound tiny becuz there far away..
