Hey guys, new poster here, so go easy on me... I'm OFFICIALLY OLD nowadays!
Any-who... I just purchased 2 used, but in great condition, Nvidia 6600GT PCI-E's as a gift to myself for my 40th birthday. Some of you may say it was a waste of money, but hey, grandma's dead and at 40, I don't get those cute little cards with Bday money inside them anymore! :) LOL But, I have had a SLI capable motherboard for almost 8 months now and decided to finally make use of it.
I removed the old card and installed the 2 'new' ones no problem. I used the SLI bridge to make sure that it stayed in SLI mode. I updated to the latest drivers that Nvidia had... still, no problems. BUT, when I click to join a server, it starts loading the game and BAM! Crashes straight to the desktop! It loads the game fine. I can then log into EA fine. I can even log into multiplayer and select a server fine. But no matter what settings I set it to (in video options) it always crashes right back to the durn desktop when loading the map. Needless to say, VERY frustrating. And the workers here at the nursing home I live in are starting to wonder what's up with me. Well, moreso than usual!
LOL
I have googled and researched for the last 2 days and haven't figured anything out. If anyone could be of help, I would GREATLY appreciate it!
Thanks ahead of time for helping me feed my addiction by getting me back into the game! Not to mention setting the staff at ease!
