When taking a screen shot, Anti-Aliasing turns off.

When ever I take a screenshot, AA turns off. I currently have it on 4x. I have changed the Default screenshot key to " \ ". I was able to do that in 2142 and fixed the problem.

    Current GAME Tech Specs:

    1280x1024 @60Hz
All settings set to high except for:

    Texture - Set to Medium
    Dynamic Light - Medium

    Current PC Specs:

    AMD Athlon 64-bit 3000+ 2.0GHz
    Nvidia GeForce 7800GT 256MB
    1GHz of DDR3 RAM
    120GB HDD
    600 watt PSU
    Windows XP SP2

Got some bad news. I thought I was able to fix my BF2142, but no. Now AA is turning off in both games Someone please help me!

I use Fraps too. If I use 'printscreen' when antialiasing is enabled in BF2, screen goes haywire, with some numbers, flickering, rainbow colors and stuff. It looks as if your vidcard went bad and is begging for an RMA. I nearly cried the first time It happened.

Fraps is just as good as what you can have with printscreen, no big deal about it. And yeah, it captures the screen with antialiasing.

Leave em to default. Seriously, BF2 isnt the best engine around so if you screw around too much, it can have some negative effects in the game. In your case, aa off.

I only experienced that with ATI cards and it's catalyst driver. It's inconsistent with any AA or AF settings in implementing it whether I do it in catalyst or BF2, I have to restart game to re-enable AA, but doesn't work all the time. Actually, this thing happens in some of my EA games too.

But I have no such problems with any nvidia card and nvidia forceware driver. My habit is usually turn off AA and AF in game's video settings and 'force' AA and AF in nvidia control panel. That way, I get AA and AF all the time and most of the time, gives you get better performance if you let your card driver manage 3D settings instead of the game...

I don't like to say this, while ATIs are great or even better, the catalyst drivers is putting it down miserably.

I don't think it's the card that is having problems. I think it's the game.

That would be AA turning off. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
