    Roe

I just have one question. As I have read through the ROE it says that the servers can not restrict the players for using the commander assests and vehicles. So I was just wondering why EA allowed the 1.4 patch to come out the way it did? Since the servers can take out artty and the vehicles. It also says that EA can change the rules anytime that they want to. Well, if they want to change the rules, then don't you think they need to change the ROE, too?

There are alot of servers out there that are not following the ROE by the way it is wrote right now since there is alot of no vehicle servers. EA needs to look more into what the consumers want and stop looking just at their pocket book. I know of a few servers that has a high volume of players going into because they like the way that game is played there and the way the admins handles the players. But EA is being jerks toward the clans. If EA really cares on what the players think and the ones that buy their games, they would look that this is popular and would change the ROE.

All EA cares about is their pocket book. Well, just to let EA know, their pocket book will not be as big. I know alot of players that are not going to buy anymore EA games because of the problems they are giving these different servers. It shows us all that all EA cares about is the old $$$.

I guess you miss understood the big problem here. EA allowed the 1.4 patch to come out without rewritting the ROE. Since they allowed that to happen then EA has broken the ROE by allowing the 1.4 patch to take out the artty and vehicles. Since the ROE says that you can not limit the use of commander assests and vehicles. But yet, some of the good servers that has their own rules, EA tries to close them down.

I didn't missunderstand anything. You're saying the same thing 9,000 other people here have and other places including EA's forum. Has it changed anything? No. Are people still buying their stuff? Yes. Will they continue? Yes. A corp like that doesn't have to worry about a few hundred BF gamers, look at their market.

It's a waste of time, even if they do change something, it'll be in favor of the whiners and in the form of nerfing something to hell and back.

I see what your saying, but the ROE applies to the current game/server and IO is considered a feature of the game now. having no arty/vehicles due to a game mode is not going against the ROE. I highly doubt EA is padding their wallets with IO mode. the game has been released and profits have been made, any work now on the game or subsequent patches is actually costing them money.

How about Support and Listening to customers? One of the reasons why I bought BugFilled2 was the quality of support by DICE (in BF42) and the Desert Combat guys. During BF1942, DICE did a great job releasing quality patches that was aimed to fix bugs and balance issues with out compromising game play. In BF2, DICE have dropped the ball with their crappy patches, combine that with EA's greed (selling a MOD 2142) and dealing with ROE B.S.

And now they have their money and you have your bugs. And you're getting upset because they don't care? Why would they, theres no more profit to be made on BF2, the larger mrgin has already passed, you like many of us fell for the trap.

I don't exactly see anyone around here calling upper management about it or drafting emails theyve sent in, not that itd do any good.

The few that have went thru what we have will share, up until EA releases its next big title, then alot of us will switch sides and give them another try. I doubt I will, I don't plan to touch another EA product until I see some serious changes with BF2. I know it's not going to happen so that will end my funds for EA.

Only thing is I know this isn't going to hurt them at all, it's just saving me from more hurt and more money wasted. Not that the money spent on BF2 was wasted, I would still buy it if I had it to do over again, I just don't feel like giving a company like that anymore money.

There's just no point in beating a dead goat, the bitching about it's already worn out, we all know EA is **** for support now. You're pissing in the wind by bitching about it.

I would suggest they didnt bother editing the ROE because it would take too much work.

As it is, their patches have been half-arsed pieces of work (personally i believe, with the exception of 1.2 and 1.4) but look.. its my gut feeling that community support will really die shortly.. response to complaints will be thats an old game, come play our new one, BF4.1!

                        Re: Roe

ROE is the answer to all whiners prayers.

Both the power cravers and the bitchers.

Plus it gives little kids a chance to get someones stats reset (oh my!) so of course people that can't play the game will spend their time focusing on ruining it for everyone else.
