my ping's always been kinda high because i live in PR but...ever since i downloaded 1.4 i dont last 10 secs in a server after they kick me for ping!!!...this rarely happened before.....can someone help??

Do you share an internet connection? I was playing the other night and my pings went from 30-90 to 900. Turns out the wife started streaming videos off the net. :hmm: -

Torrents also destroy your connection. Make sure that you, and others in the household aren't downloading/uploading torrents when you decide to play.Comment

I have wireless B and my pings average 20-50 in almost any server.Comment

Nobody is asking the main and most logical question. What is the speed of you internet? If somebody is stealing your internet in case its not secure thats a bad thing. It only happens if you are wireless. About your wife, put a big arse sign on her computer that not to interupt when you are playing this awesome piece of modern technology. LOL.Comment

Hey guys - im REALY new to forums and stuff like this but he CARP of having a 1k ping on my computer stinks!!!! - 1 ) im using a secure, cable (DSL) connection. I also downloaded the Ptch 1.41 and in the game - top right hand corner, it says the version and it still says 1.2..... and i downloaded the patch twice - please email me as i don't check or even log on to forums many times - i also don't know how to get back the page tat posts my comments /RE's. if u installed the patch correctly, the top corner should say something like 1.1.2965-797.0
or u can check start > program files > ea games > battlefield 2 > readme.txt and it should say wat version u ahve at the topComment
