Rank vanishes during in game play

What is going on!!! When I come in the game everything is fine then after a short period of time I revert to a private. As well if I become commander I lose my rank, If i resign I lose my rank if I join and then leave a squad I revert to Private. I only noticed because I was getting basic badges again. I have searched the forums and the only posts I have seen on this is "no big deal its a small glitch and it goes away." Well its a big deal and its not going away. I am not the only peep this is happening to on my server.

This starting happening right after my last promotion last week or so. Related????

Ya this is game is called battlefield2, its known for its screwy incapable code and its bugs.
this happens sometimes to me i just disconnect than reconnect.

just leave the server and join a different one, that sometimes happens but that fixes it up quick

yeah u should prob restart bf2 when that happens...also im not sure if u get the points for the round that u r playing when u r a private

Conscript and Smash are right, sometimes when you join bf2 just gets stupid and forgets to add your rank

Well I hope it is not my server that is causing the problem
