Trivia: Why does the USMC in BF2 use the M24 and not the M40?

There are probably more things not right in BF2 partaining to weapons, but I just now noticed this.

    The U.S Army employs the M24sws - Wiki - M24

    The U.S. Marine Corps uses the M40A3 - Wiki - M40

Because Battlefield 2 is not supposed to be real?

Because we already have the m95 and everyone knows the number 95 is higher then 24 and 40.

I am calling Ph-par on that. It may have been an honest mistake. Another reason why some more weapons is ideal for this game.

Because DICE does not know **** from poop.

Besides they are pretty much the same rifle(not really) but yes.

Here's one for you, why does a U.S. Navy SH-60(SeaHawk) get's called a BlackHawk(U.S. Army) in the game?

The Blackhawk is more widely recognized because of the movies.

EA does what they think would be more popular, and not what is actually accurate.

That is because of the different tasks each helicopter takes on, so Sikorsky, the creator of the SH-60, made different variations for the US military. Actually a new variation of it is still being tested, the MH-60R Romeo set for service in 2008 with the US Navy.

Here's a better question; why does the USMC use freaking blackhawks in the game when they use hueys IRL and the Navy uses seahawks?

The answer: because it was developed by civilians who more than likely didn't consult with any kind of military advisors for assistance with the reality element of the game.

While were on this subject why do the SEALs fly apaches, when SEALs don't fly and the apache belongs to the army anyway. WE could go on and on.
