Does EAX work in SF?

I upgraded a few months back to a X-FI card, but since I 99.9% play SF mod I only noticed a slight difference in sound. (I use headphones). Yesterday I played some regular bf2 and definitely noticed the EAX sounds which sounded great. So the question is... has anyone noticed EAX working in SF?

Did you change your settings in Audio and don't forget to set 'Game mode' in the XI-FI Mode switcher application. Otherwise all that XI-FI goodness will not be heard.. In the Entertainment mode of Xi-FI battlefield will revert back to medium settings automatically.

I just checked and everything seems to be set correctly. I was in 'game mode' also.
