Infantry Mod

Hi, I'm wondering if any of you more experienced mod players can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a mod that is infantry only, and has some way of giving all teams the same guns, or basically the same. I love the AK101 and think it's the best gun in the game, and it sucks to have to use unlocks that are somehow worse than a standard gun when I am on the USMC

Nah, even with unlocks off, I still would have to use M16 when I was USMC

do u have a g36 e? AK101 is good great at close range but g36e is atleast its equal and better in my opinion. AK101 is far more pray spray but a skilled g36er is hard to beat.

Yes I have the G36E, but when I go around a corner, and an enemy just happens to be a few feet from my face, I find a fully automatic gun to be better

You do understand you will be limited to singleplayer games, correct?


This has not been tested. Please let me know of any problems.
There is no installer included. However, the install is fairly simple and a "readme" file with instructions is included.

DOWNLOAD HERE

If you wish to make this a seperate mod make a copy of your "bf2" mod located at "battefield 2/mods/bf2" and rename it to your liking. Apply this modifacation to your new mod by following the instructions included like normal.
Create a new shortcut by making a copy of your existing one and editing the copy to include " +modPath mods/YOURMODHERE " To do this Right click it, go to properties, and change the target to include the line llisted above at the end of it.

Thanks a lot. I'll give this a try.

Actually I am looking for a multiplayer mod. What I said up there about everyone having the same gun choices and it being infantry only were the only things I care about. I mean, if there's a mod that is kind of like CS, or basically anything that just has the two requirements I listed, that's all I'm looking for.

You need people to play against. :P Full conversions have a hard enough time getting players, nevermind a small tweak for a niche.

You could play that CQB mod that came out a while back. I found it very fun....but no servers.

If you watch Redux's movie, Duck & Cover, I notice he uses AK-101 even when he is on USMC. He has a M16, switches to grenade or medpac or something, then switches back to his rifle and now it's an AK-101.

Project Reality 0.4 mod on iGi server, no armour and attack helis- its awsome, always full.
The only thing that bugs me is the fact, that most of the time one team is pwning with teamwork while the other still thinks they are playing vBF2- its liek a rule there or something
