BF2 wont start (different)

The difference with my problem (Bf2 not starting), is that my computer does not respond at all when i start bf2.exe. No flickering, black, or loading screen, just a brief loading mouse icon (pointer & eggtimer about 4 secs) if that means anything to anyone. I have updated my drivers and reinstalled bf2 and the complete 1.4 patch. My computer is not overheating i dont think, i have 5 fans. Ive tried clearing my page file but im not sure it worked, and dont know what it does.

System manufacturer: NVIDIA
System model: AWRDACPI
Processor: AMD Athalon XP, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0GHz
Memory:512 RAM
Page File: 367MB used, 880MB available
DirectX version: DirectX 9.0c

I probably dont have the required specs, but i have played many many many times in the past.

The problem started after bf2 started crashing, within minutes of playing or upon entering a server (black landscape sometimes). After a few crashes i could not start BF2.

BF2 is whoring me like iTunes, can someone help me out? I just dont understand how it can work one minute and not the next.

seeing a black landscape is kinda bad in any sense,

would proberly mean a new graphics card, another 512mb ram wouldnt go a miss either if you have the money of course,

Well, as it has always worked before, im still confused. i think it might have something to do with my C drive. I just realised last night i had very very little space left, and whenever i open C drive, windows explorer crashes with the error report thing, not sure what to do about that, but when i fix it ill tell my results.

hd has nothin to do with graphics.

the 5200 shouldnt be a problem becuz even if it isnt support say for example, a ti4200, ur screen should go black as if it were loading and go back to desktop..hmm still thinking

Have you got those new drivers hoek, and if you cant get to your hard drive you got sum bugs son. Might wanna think about a reformatt

Yeah, i have new drivers. But yeah i was thinking of reformatting my C drive; my computer has been chugging along at half-speed lately. I guess it must be a virus or something. Scans dont get anything though.
