computer specs recomendation

so im starting to shop for all the parts to put together my new PC. with the following items will i be able to get good graphics and preformance out of BF2 and other high end games?

Intel Core Duo E6300 1.86GHz
2 GB RAM
eVGA GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16

7900 gs is a little bit more than the gt, but a much better performer! (20 pp's vs. 12)

do you have money for the e6600?

decemberistsx10 with that spec you should have no problem with high on most if not all, PS as nip_touches suggested, try and save for the next level up CPU toe E6600, it will future proof you greatly.

Definatly follow the advice given, it might work out a bit more, but your longevity and performance is worht it.

will 20 PPs make a large difference from 12 PPs?
the 7900 is at least $70 more.

forget about the GFX card it is fine, just get a higher spec core 2 duo, ie E6600 and you won't be dissapointed, and you may see a slight increase with an extra 8PPS

THERE WAS ONE THERE FOR $160 AR, 7600 gt will do you fine, the gs is a great value, especially if you plan to OC it.
