graphics card confusion

im buying a new computer, but have been stumbling over the graphics card ill need to run (hopefully with good graphics) BF2 and maybe some other high end games. Ive looked at the readme of supported cards, but have found its not totally accurate. will any of the following cards run BF2?

256MB nVidia Geforce 7300LE TurboCache
256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7500LE, TV-Out, DVI, VGA

if any of these will work, which will run the smoothest?
if not, what is reccomended that i could shove into a dell or hp computer?

the x1300 should, notsure about the 7500le/ how much r u spendin?

dunno, around $750 to $850 on either an HP or a Dell. i dont have a lot of money to blow. i just want a decent gaming machine, but i know that may not be possible with $800.

Im going to be building my pc, and im runnin 2 7600GS in SLI mode (a whole gig of memory in graphics!)
the 7600GT I think isnt a bad card, but it isnt a good one either.

I second that. The branded ones are waste of money performance wise. They might tell you, well, this is more reliable.., no. A custom built will be cheaper, faster and just as reliable if components are matched.

Btw, I had a 7300GT on a 3year old PC runs BF2 sweet. It's the cheapest/best price/performance card you'll get out there.. Well, if you have extra cash, you could always opt for the higher end cards.

I suggest you build it too, it's actually pretty easy. Finding compatible parts is the hard part, but I can go do that

And to clear things up a bit, please don't get 7600's in SLI. It's just a waste of money. Not only are there compatibility issues with SLI and certain games, but you're paying for 100% more in price than just buying one of the cards, yet you will rarely see more than a 50% improvement in games. And memory does not "stack" like Echo is implying--so two 256mb cards in SLI will only use 256mb of memory. Each card needs its own set of all the textures; they don't share.

i would never buy another manufactured computer you can never always get exactly what you want, build your own like others have sugusted and then u know what you can do to it in the way of future upgrades better

The PC in my sig = 1000 dollars, with some other things (case, disk drive etc)
My pc is 1000 dollars, and my freind bought 1 for 1500 and its a HP and mine is 4 times better than his, oh btw his is a "Gaming Computer" says the says man.
(7300GS W/ 1Gig of valueselect ram ) but he did also buy a 750GB HD, but still i dont think thats 1500$ worth.

for a budget build, dell is about as cheap as building it yourself.

My roommate just got this pc with x2 3800+ and 1 gb of ram, We bought an x1600xt as well.... and with settings on medium we are encountering stuttering problems (lack of ram).

Also DO NOT JUST THROW A NEW AND POWERFULL VIDEO CARD IN A DELL. Especially if its a budget dell.... if you read through the specs, the psu dell has in those pc's is only rated to 305 watts!!! newer cards would kill that psu. Its the reason we settled with the x1600xt because thats about as much as i want to push the crummy dell psu.

in short, get 2 gig of ram, and buy your video card separate, since the options listed are not very good... on ebay or elsewhere you can get much better cards for the same price
