Map like the wall is excellent for this mode

Honestly, I think Great Wall would be horrible for IO. With only two entry points, it would be a barrel shoot.

Now, if their were SF grapple hooks. That might be a different story.

Actually a guy who owns a server down in Tx set up a Great Wall IO server 1 night, |SI|BLacK_JeSuS, & I loved it, we both got our 100 point EU rounds (so did the server owner), & the next night he changed maps:|:

PLA does have enough time to get inside the wall, & take a flag @ the beginning of the round

DAMN, I love that HK-21, wish I could find another Great Wall IO server

I guess it would be a 'great map' if you are the team that took the interior first. The only way to get inside would be to have Arty and an all out assault on one specific crack in the wall. But it does not help for them being able to see you coming from a long ways off.

Well, just about every round I played EU took the closest flag to them inside the wall, & PLA took the closest flag to them inside the wall to start, after that either side could lose the interior

I was against IO @ first, but it is "refreshing" to meet other players in battle man against man w/ out being arty'd every 30 seconds

Same here. Really depends on the server you're playing on. My first experience was a giant grenade fest which was not entertaining but I gave it a go again these past 2 weeks on the XSF server and have had great times with some good players.

My only complaint would be the lack of more maps. Kark, Sharqi, and Jalal can get a little tiring. FuShee, Oman, Kubra on a 16 player map all make some great IO battles imo and 32 Mashtuur is good as well.

I love VSSQ's 16 player IO server. Good blend. No EF or AF maps, but honestly, I don't think they would make good 16 player maps, well, unless something like Harvest you took the back couple flags near the East side of the map. I would think Midnight Sun would make a good 16 player map. EF, there is no way except for Great Wall in 16.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Songhua when it was 16 player. I am just wondering what other maps I have not discovered that are great 16 players. I wonder how good Op Clean Sweep would be.

XSF (Extreme Strike Force) is my fav IO server, they have clean games w/ no smaktards, no deliberate tk'n, & no overbearing rules, or admin

XSF also has lots of great regulars that are team players that squad up, & use voip

Server owners enforcing their choices on the ranked system are a problem. I was on a VER server last night, and found out that I was breaking the rules by placing a claymore (or C4) anywhere in the "flag capture hot zone".

Bah, I love the servers where they tell comment that you are violating the rules after you complete a good action, but they do not have the rules posted on the server load screen or scrolling during the gameplay.

I was on a 75th Ranger server the other week (Sharqi), and I took out the Mi-28 with the M1A2 tank. The pilots got pissed because they were just hovering and got lit up. They then said I was breaking the rules because I was a commander in a tank. It was a 64player map, maybe 16 players online at the time, and the tank driver left me in the gunner's nest alone (and only seconds earlier, I had accepted commander after we had no commander for 20 minutes). It was not hard to just say 'screw it' and I jumped into the driver seat and popped the havoc that was raping.

They got pissed, said I was breaking the rules and when I asked them where the rules were, because I did not see them when I loaded, guess what...PB kick for language. LOL.

There's an EF Infantry Only server up right now as we speak. 24/7 Great Wall Seal Team 6; I believe it was.
