Nvidia Driver Question

I just formatted my HD and reinstalled all my apps and drivers. My question is I have Nvidia driver version 93.71 for my 6800 GS and the battlefield 2 profile no longer exsists? Anyone know why. Also I noticed that grass looks different when I play now. Is something with the new patch or my video drivers?

r ur video setting sthe same? and ive noticed the bf2 profile missing but it shouldnt really matter i think

hmm, thats strange, when was the last time you played bf2?
i stoped playing for about a year, and my profile was deleted =(

We are talking about 2 different things. I am talking about the BF2 profile in the NVidia Control Panel for drivers and you are talking about the profile in the game.

To answer the other post, yes, my video settings are exactly the same.

Use the 80 series driver swith a 6800. They work better with that 60 series cards. I prefer 84.25 Force wares.

Use the 80 series driver swith a 6800. They work better with that 60 series cards. I prefer 84.25 Force wares.

I just wanted to thank you for your advice 12. I downloaded the 84.25 drivers and they look much better than the 90 series drivers. I guess the new drivers are for the GeForce 7 cards and not for those of us that can afford spanking new cards.

Yea I messed around with countless drivers when I got my 6800 before finally trying the 84.25's. They gave me the best FPS than all the other drivers. NP though man.

And, with 7800 Series ???

Because I have the same problem...

I don;t have any experience with the 7800 so I couldn't tell ya. Just do research and see what others prefer for that card.

The 93.71 are very bad driver, I try it and give no good results

right now im favoring the 83.90v2 from xtreme-g but the difference in drivers between the 83s and 84s may be like 1fps that u wouldnt even notice

But it dosen't appear on nvidia.com archive drivers.

Me I don't have choice. I must choose the 81.98 or better because: Adds support for GeForce 7800 GS AGP !...

Do you think the 80s are better 90s ???

the more recent 90s have broken the video overlay and added a horrible control panel....the best 90s atm for our kind of cards are the 92.91 betas, most issues have been fixed but the control panel is still tat.

Yes, I agree.

The 80s are very good. 90s are poor drivers !

But the first 90s drivers are good, exemple: the 91.31 and 92.91... The others... I don't say one of word for it.

What is the best driver in this list (you think):

81.95 December 9, 2005
81.98 February 7, 2006
84.21 March 17, 2006
91.31 June 23, 2006

93.17 gave me the best perfoemance...getting 70-90 fps in bf2..
