Shouldn't BF2 soldiers be able........

Shouldn't BF2 soldiers be able........run faster when they shoot or waste ammo?(ammo i hear nowadays are pretty heavy) Since the "heavier" kits make you run slower............or also when you switch weapons and run, should it be that you run faster then with a knife than with a gun?

Say your gear as a soldier weighs 100 lbs with everything inculded....Would it matter what you had in your hand if your carrying everything else on your back?

A 400 lb guy with a knife is still slower than a 160 lb guy with a M249 and a ****load of ammo.

See what I'm getting at?

yeah i think it would matter if its in your hand, i'm jsut saying if you shoot off some rounds wouldn't you be able to run faster..........

It might if you shoot off some rounds...drop all your weapons and take off your body armor...then you could run faster. Otherwise, losing a fwe rounds woudnt make a differnce.

Thats what they have implemented in BF2142, heavy armour = less sprint distance

carry extra equipment also reduces distance i think

but i am sure about the heavy armour stuff.

The sprint time is bull, troops spend majority of their time running. Actual infantry can run alot further than those 8 steps in BF2. But it's a game so we can't say much.

Please don't bring this CS idiocy. Regardless of what you are using you still carry the same weight.

Although I do agree that the amount of sprint is too short.

He meant that losing weight as you are firing lead and metal outta ure gun!
Like the AT, he/she carries 5 rockets, losing one = aorund 5 pounds or so..

5 pounds of weight is a lot, hence jimmy says that the AT dude/dudess should be able to sprint either faster or longer

PoE has a longer sprint distance. I think the majority of infantry men can run allot longer than what BF2 or PoE allows. What good would it be if you run for 50 yards and then can't jump up in the air???

In 2142 I would hope we have managed to develop tougher, lighter armor and weapons... or would that be asking too much ? :P

Hmmm... That probably will never be implemented but not a bad idea. It'd only work with AT only though as other class don't lose a substantial amount of weight firing their weapons.

Chodda? maybe the threads been cleaned already but i doubt it, although, i do not see Chodda posting anywhere on this thread. you've either got Chodda on ur mind or just confusing nicknames:)
while we're at this issue, why doesnt dice implement the use of a redbull can of ice-cold refreshing drink, ie. you run out of sprint..press x to pull out your redbull and skull it down..start flying? could work ..no?

edit: by the time i wrote this you wrote back saying u confused him. lol. atleast someone's quick to clean up behind themselves...unlike the majority..sigh

Although i think you raise a good point, there are other more important issues DICE should prioritise, like the continous PING spikes i've got since 1.4....or the fact theres no buddy list....etc..

i think Spec forces should be the fastest runners since IRL they do the roughest training and the most running for that matter than all other MOSs. That and I play Spec forces the most
