EA Link - keeps saying "1.4 Ready to Install"

I love the EA Downloader, now called "EA Link" program. It's very handy and seemed to be working.

I just had to re-install BF2, and I did the full patch to version 1.4, downloading it using "EA Link". I installed the patch, and the game is working OK, but EA Link keeps telling me the patch is "Ready to Install", instead of the message "Ready to Play".

I have Armored Fury, and I downloaded that, installed it, and I got the correct message; "Ready to Play".

How come I'm not getting the "Ready to Play" message for patch 1.4?

    thanks

Yes, I am currently ignoring it, and yes, I'm using the BF2 shortcut. I only get the message when EA Link is open.

I'm asking the question because I suspect the message is an indicator that something has gone awry and I'm trying to figure out what that might be.

nothing is wrong. it only does that with the patch, right? so the ea link isnt programmed to detect what patch number youre running. or they did it for the millions of people who had to reinstall patch 1.2-1.4 5 million times just to be able to play a decent round. so when they had to reinstall cause somethin got screwed, they didnt have to go clear out their caches, re-download the patch, and the reinstall it. just reinstall.
