upgrade from ea down..to ea link

since upgrading to EA Link, patch 1.4 says it cant find the BF2 install folder, and wont patch. Everything is on C: in the normal default folders like always. EA Downloader never gave me problems. Trying to repatch because SF crashes when joining multiplayer server.

First, Try this.

Place the patch in your desktop and run it from there. If that still don't work, then you are having registry problems. This is how you fix it:

1.Go To Start > Run > Type "regedit" (without quotes)

2. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2

3. Then right click on the right hand window and go on NEW string value,then enter InstallDir for the string name and for the value enter D:\GAMES\Battlefield 2

(or whatever your BF2 Path is)

I find the new EA Link to be annoying. It auto starts when ever I start my computer, and I can't alter the function. Snake
