AF modified content error meesage please help

I have searched the forums to no avail. I cannot find a similar string that address's this problem.


I have a clan member who purchased AF via EA downloader and it says ready to play. It has worked in the past with no problems. Recently for a unknown reason when ever our server cycles to a AF map he gets an error message.

"This server only alows players with unmodified content. Revert your version of battlefied 2 to the official version to join".

He has reinstalled the 1.4 patch and has the new EA downloader. None of my other clan members have had this problem so it is not my server.

Reinstall AF then reinstall full 1.4 update (not incremental)

still not work?

Try to remove BF2 folder from My documents and let BF recreate it. You'll need your passwords and have to resetup any custom keyboard setups you made.

How do you reinstall AF we can't uninstall it or find the folder where it is located... What a pain

i had the same probs.

do as simon says.


just reinstall AF and reinstall the FULL 1.4 patch and it will work.

(incremental patch gives this error)
