I've got two jobs, I'm a full time student in college, then there's the GF, my band and yet I still manage to find time to play. So don't cry to me about being busy ok.



Yes I know its the internet, and we all know the internet is serious business. But as far as all of us being in one community. That's laughable at best. The ideas and changes that the competition community would like to see from the devs versus the changes wanted and asked about by those who frequent this forum and those like it are two very different things. Its funny that you call us arrogant and complain about us coming in here and being assholes to you and yours. But like I said, don't start threads trash talking people who are a part of OUR community and for the 99.9% we won't pay any attention to you.



So another words you decided to deride someone on a public forum and didn't know or understand the circumstances in which the article was written. So you don't even bother to look into it and find out for yourself what the situation is. And now you complain about the presence of the competitive community in your thread that derides us. Grow up. You only made yourself look like an *** in a public forum for video games. Next time you might slander someone in some other fashion and it might come back to bite you in real life instead of a group of gamers defending their own.

Im still trying to figure out were I bashed this guy, aside from the fact that the opening post was making fun of the situation...I never said jack about stats or his picture..nor did I get involved with the clan vs. pub arguement.

I simply poped in days later after my opening post to laugh at you all.
And check out exactly what I said, I never went on a side..I simply stated that the clan guys were being arrogant and the pubbers were being d1cks right back. I never complained about anythin gin the whole thread, I simply said it was like watching to sets of video game dorks at war, the organized dork vs. the unorganized dork..and yes we are video game dorks.

Both the clanners and pubbers in this thread have chosen to assume stuff and attack one another, even going as far as saying someone has done something to further there arguement.

I personally just play on TWL. It's not as large as CAL, and you run into less elitist retards who turn every 'victory' for your team, into a discussion over who has hacks.

I'm in a clan. I play in pubs. The best players are good in both. Anyone who insinuates otherwise is just trying to prattle on about crap so that you might not realise how much of a noob they are.

You so called 'leet clanners' want to impress me? Learn how to play the game with unlocks, and compete in competitions that have unlocks... because as a rule, most supposedly leet players that I've ever seen, have sucked at using them in either scrims or pubs, or defending against them. They go into a pub server and get their asses handed to them, and it's a non-stop litany of 'g36e' that, or 'DAO Spam' this. And they whinge CONSTANTLY about them. And then, later on, on forums such as this, they call everyone else 'crybabys'.

Yeah... I'm impressed. Let's design a competition that uses weapons that no-one else uses, and beat them because most people couldn't be assed learning how to play a butchered version of the game... and then croon about how wonderful we are.

Comp players can't use unlocks? LOL

Here, time for a little history lesson in the history of BF2:

It was pre- s3 of CAL, so about a year ago. There was a discussion, who was better: CAL players or BF2C players? Well, Narco and, at that time, the folks at EGLN set up a little competetion.

The competetion was made to favor the BF2C style of playing completely; unlocks were allowed, it would be 30v30, the ticket ratios were 400%, and the spawn times were 30 seconds each. This was, and still is, very different from the CAL style of playing which included 8 man teams, 100% ticket ratio, 15 second spawn times, and no unlocks.

They day had come, it would be the deteremining factor to the question "Who is better: pubbers or clan players". Do you want to know how that day went? Well lets just say it wasn't pretty for the pub players. And here's an example.

I was lucky enough to play that day, being seleceted in the first group of CAL players. Throughout the competetion there were prizes announced, and the things you had to do to get them. To get one of the prizes, a Z-board, you had to get the most knives in one round. The person with the most knives would win. I heard this and decided to go knife only, considereing how the first round went (400-0?). All of the BF2C people, unlocks and all, tried to shoot me, as I sliced and diced my way through their ranks. I got about 11 knives, went to go eat dinner mid round, came back and noticed that I still had a higher score than 80% of the Bf2C people. Note that I was afk for half the round, and the other half I was kknife only.

Now, this was knife only, and I wouldn't consider myself the best infantry player in CAL. Think about how bad it was when I used guns? NON UNLOCK guns? Yeah, it was pretty bad.

It does seem that the pubbers have forgotten their place, however, and we need to do this type of thing again. So, maybe we can get a FragTV sponsorship and have another go at it? With prizes and all, while being casted. That should give you all the motivation to try and practice, right?

Why is it so hard to get through everyones thick skull i found it funny when I didnt know the circumstances of why he was in the magazine??

And yes if I did score 5 touchdowns in a "sport" and was in a sporting magazine, then yeah it would make sense. But your comparing apples and oranges mate. Golf, bowling, etc.. are more sports then Bf2 and you guys are taking it far to seriously as in the fact how uppidity you guys are getting.

All I did was make a funny post on why this guy was named champoin in a chessy music magazine, I aksed a question in a funny opening post cause I didnt know if this guy just knew some guy at SPIN and thought it would be funny yo have champ under his name...that sit..
4 days later the thread has become a war between pubbers and clanners.

One day when Im on the internet with a bad picture of myself or in a magazine talking about "pwning Gannon" I accept the jokes knowing its all in good fun.

competative gaming has been accepted even as an Olympic sport.
just because football and baseball are more popular than bowling/golf doesnt discount the fact that they are sports.

Maybe, one day, you'll actually figure out how to play the game with ALL of the weapons. 'til that time, you're just another dweeb playing a game only a few select people play, instead of the hundreds of thousands of other people using ALL of functionality of the game.

The trust CAL players put in their AC team is such that they know most hackers are going to get caught. Hacking accusations are not made lightly, as a false accusation would cause accusers to lose any credibility in the community.
