Is this new card better or no?

I have a 9800 pro 256, and I love to play BF2. I play the game on pretty good setting like med-high. But I was looking at the ATI x1600 pro 512, it has the 3.0 shaders I also need for another game but wondering if it can give me some good performance.

I have 3.0 intel and 1 gigs of corsair if that helps any on your judgment

yeah its a better card


if u can, add another half gig or gig of ram

with x1600 wont let u play all high with like 60fps constant, but its alot better tahn the 9800

The X1600 wint be the biggest upgrade for the price. and RAM would also really help to run at higher settings

If the prices are similar, try and find a 1650 Pro instead. Same performance as the 1600XT, only available in both AGP and PCI-E.

Oh and don't bother with any of them with 512 mb of ram, none of the 1600 series of cards a really powerful enough to make use of it.
