reinstallation problem

I just reinstalled bf2 to my comp after a long long period of out of action pc. I went straight to download the lastest patch 1.4. But every time i go to download it it fails halfway through the download, i have tried various mirror sites and the offical ones on ea's website but it still aint working? anyone else having problems?
Should i get 1.3 first before 1.4? Also i have bf2:sf, should install that first before i do the patches? or what order should i do this?

Bf2->SF->expansion packs->patch1.4 full

Have you tried torrents (tottaly legal for things like this, before anyone starts lol)
Full 1.4 patch is the way to go, just patch whenever needed.
Have you tried fileplanet? Im a paying member but heard non members also get good speeds

Yep so true, but some get confused when an expansion asks for a certain patch, that why i say... BF2 - 1.4, sf or expansion 1.4........
What im getting at is, patch with full 1.4 and keep running 1.4 until done

Incrimental patches are riddled with probs and should be avoided if possibly.
Full patch FTW
