Yeah I agree. I doubt it will attract any new players because they want all their stats to either go in their one BF2 account or 2142 account. I really don't think it will bring any more players, people that haven't tried POE2 before probably aren't going to just because of a stat system.

Quite a few likes to play POE2 and if it is “ranked” makes it just funnier for us. We don’t go around chasing badges or medals – we play for the fun of it. The ranking is basically scores!
Among the great stuff in POE are all the vehicles, the maps are great and huge and of course the weapons are great - they kill instantly.
There is a whole different feeling playing POE than BF2. And for all of you experts who “really knows how bad it is” without playing it, or have played it for some half an hour – I just say; don’t do it!
The thing is – we play it because we like it.

Yeah! PRM is also a great mod, I agree, but its success isn’t that big either.



So what is the point trashing a thread - with “facts” that are chitchat?

This thread is a bit of a misnomer and I'd like a moderator to alter it if possible.
PoE2 is not ranked in anyway shape or form.
It has a website based stats system, nothing more. It enables players who have played on stat tracked servers to follow their progress and performance as they play, the system is exactly the same principal as the old BFTracks.net system that was (and still is) active for Battlefield 1942.

DrunkenPirate, you are sort of right I must say! POE has its own ranking - unofficial that is. Because you climb your ranking ladder from soldier to higher rank and you are able to see your POE-ranked position. But still that has nothing to do with BF2's ranking. Everyone sure understands that!

POE-servers are connected to a stats system. It gives the players their status and score. And if one wants to call it “ranked” it is nothing wrong with that,
I do not believe that the thread’s subject has to be altered. Everyone knows that POE isn’t BF2 and the word “ranked” is not a copyright issue and.

If anyone has doubts about how it works, visit the POE forum and read all about it.

We at gaming.datorbutiken.com – as the rather big ISP we are (six ranked BF2-servers, CS-servers and our two POE2-servers) - has chosen to call our POE2-servers “Stats Tracked”. We changed it just because of that the word "ranked" was misleading.
Anyhow, one does climb the ranking ladder from private to higher ranks. Even it if that’s not is seen during game – no grades to “show off” with, so to speak.
To call it ranked is not an act of blaspheme, nonetheless.

If it walks like a duck and sound like a duck, it sure as hell is a duck.
