Screen resolution mouse dpi and targeting

With regard to screen resolution Is it easier or more difficult to accurately place the targeting site at a lower or higher resolution? What is mouse dpi and assuming the mouse allows it does any particular mouse dpi make it harder, easier, faster or slower to get to a particular target. (Monitor = good quality flat screen trinitron type tube 26 dpi). Thank you all replies.

The higher dpi the faster your mouse response to your movement. Screen resulution well i say higher is better - you can see people better ,they aren so tiny when playing on high res.

I have a mouse with variable dpi at the push of a button. I love it!!!

Its much easier to make a steady shot at long distance. There are several mouses who can do this, highly recommended!!

if your tanking then you need it wound right up to spin the turret but if you try to helo gun or snipe on the same setting, you wont hit a barn door at ten paces as the slightest tremble of the mouse and youll miss by a mile.

I own a logitech MX518 it has dpi settings so you can adjust on the go,I also have one of the buttons configured for switching between singleshot/burst/auto/returning to your main weapon.

I own a cordless one and its garbage, and i think ive only once used it away from the desk, back in the days when i used to play need for speed underground 2.
