When are EA gonna fix server crashes ????

I have a ranked 64 server which crashes once or twice everyday.

Its crashed seven bloody times in the last 24 hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Four this evening.

20:23:21 clanforge_auto Server crashed ( signal: 0, exit: 42 ) auto restarting in 10 seconds
20:51:58 clanforge_auto Server crashed ( signal: 0, exit: 42 ) auto restarting in 10 seconds
22:43:40 clanforge_auto Server crashed ( signal: 0, exit: 42 ) auto restarting in 10 seconds


I thought 1.4 was meant to fix it ?????????????

BF2142 server are having the same problems too.


Can anyone from EA comment on a FIX for this ?

probably never, they haven't even fixed the issues in BF2, yet they go and build another game using the buggy engine. When do people ever learn to stop giving money to companies who never live upto their promises?

I've not experienced any crashes since 1.4.

Do you only play like 5 minutes a day ?

CTD IS fixed, server crashes are fixed, not had a single one since 1.4
You might want to start looking at your system

Yes, chances are its your box. Renting from multiplay? Ask the support team if they could reinstall your server's BF2, and patch it with the full 1.4 patch. Remind them of this order

BF2>SF>1.2 full>EF>1.3 full>AF>1.4 full

And you should be fine.

Its a simple fact that servers still do crash. It has nothing to do with the hardware. Ours crashes on average about 3 times a day. It is better than 1.3 where it has crashed 4 times in a row, but still its not good enough.

1.41 is supposed to be a server side patch only which hopefully addresses server stability.

Hurricane that order is incorrect. Not only that ranked server files come just as that and not a patch, on another server file.

Patch installation order........ BF2, 1.4(full) install SF/Boosters and just run 1.4(full) again. If it says you need to patch, guess what 1.4 full. Then when all done run it again, then defrag your drive (more than once, preferably) and all is sound as a pound lol
Incremental patches suck big time, full patch all the way. Trouble free

I have to say that I haven't gotten ctd yet, but I have been playing on moongamers and their sever crashes once in awhile. So I don't think it's only your server.
