    I feel somehow... Done with choppers. What now?

    Well... I just got today my long 150 hours in helos (main account, that is) and I got the awards I could get in a chopper, that is:
    Expert Helicopter Badge (today), Helicopter Combat Medal, Helicopter Service Ribbon

    Basically I played a lot of Wake, Dalian, Sharqi (on USMC side) and some Oman. I never got to play much on other maps because of Insomnia being my favorite server (good ping , 24/7, no nublet admins, and I knew who could fly/gun).

    The aftermath is:

    * Roughly 15,000+ kills (roadkills included)
    * Roughly 3,150 deaths (estimations: 35% baseraped, 25% engaging the enemy, 15% killed by noob pilot/gunner, 15% TK-ed on takeoff, 10% others)
    * Roughly a KDR of 4.89
    * 4,600+ driver points, out of those 4,200 must come from chopper piloting.
    * Roughly 3.8 SPM in chopper
    * People with grudge against me as result of redlines and M95 TK's

    I am now thinking if I should retire from choppers :p
    What should my next endeavor be?

    how about something totally different - like sniping (although not a big fan of snipers).

    or how about engineer?

      Whoa, you got some badass skills with a chopper(if I read that right). Props on the expert chopper whoring.

      Anywho, you should join us grunts on the ground, get where the real action is! But still your decision.

        LOL, I used to be fair with the sniper... I have now 0.45 KDR with the gun because it's what I hold while waiting for choppers... And I just get killed a lot in the process. Oh well...

        Engineer implies armor whoring, because I really don't see much usefulness in the Engineer kit besides that.

            Since when can you not do all these things at once? In fact I'd highly advise you not to whore just one vehicle/kit/playstyle for too long or you'll become burned out. Back in my PlaneWhore days it was aircraft or nothing for me and after a couple months of that I found aircraft to be rather boring when compared to infantry for example and as a result I stopped playing BF2 for 3 or 4 months. Now I've got a much more balanced gameplay style where I'll play a round as infantry, a round as armor, a round in a helicopter piloting/gunning ect. If nothing else it keeps the game fresh for me.

            Oh and stay out of 24/7 Karkand or IO mode too. Nothing will burn you out faster than those two (especially in combination).

                I'm beginning to fly in jets (woohoo) I've never used them well only for just bombing people and bombing them again but not the dogfighting scene. It's really fun in my opinion it's a shame that I missed all this fun! And it's even more fun when you're using a Joystick.

                I've had the groundpound now though I still like it but not as much as I used to I like jets more now.

                  I've just started using Engineer kit, using the default shotgun. That gun is brilliant. The kit is very good as well. Use mines to destroy tanks. There's so much you can do with that kit, it's fun. And as I say, that shot gun is brilliant

                  You don't need to just tank whore using that kit.

                    Actually 24/7 Karkand was one of the reasons why I started whore Helicopters. I even got too bored and stopped playing BF2 for a while.

                    I think I had a share of almost all kits/vehicles, besides jets. I am beginning to grasp some basics with jets but maybe I'll never get much better than a regular pilot as I have no joystick.

                        Just do whatever you want to do instead of going for badges and stuff. I feel that when your goal is to win the round, and your personal goal is to get a good KDR. Then everything works out better.

                            I started flying jets once in a while to annoy helis: it's more difficult than I'd like to admit with a keyboard and mouse, but I use it mostly as a fast taxi so I don't mind sucking at it. :)
