Re: 3d gaming glasses?
i have got a pair of usb gaming goggles, and can tell you the following about them and bf2;
they require you to significantly lower your settings to about half of what you can get away with normally
there are a LOT of bugs in the drivers from nvidia and in general for 3d glasses which means you are lucky if you get a completely artifact and wierd shadow free experience.
however, certain models Do work with LCD, they have a special driver to allow this, although the 3D effect is not as pronounced as CRT, i bought my 24" crt solely for 3D
when it is working and you can marry the right VGA driver with the right 3D driver then the immersive experience is amazing, the character models of the soldiers look as if they had been made for 3D - the detail on them becomes alive, there defribrilator and the IGLAS in 3D are impressive to say the least, and the snipers ghillie suit is amazingly flowing and detailed. the best bit of all though is the accuracy it affords you with iron sights on m16 etc, amazing.....must be that the human brain is better at distance and aim when the view is 3d as opposed to flat
the grass and plants and trees are something else too, you crawl under a shrub prone and you are literally under there properly, watching the solid 3d leaves sway in the wind......amazing....
to summarize, basically 3D is the way to go, but like anything there doesnt seem to be the support and its hard to get it all working seamlessly, i hardly use 3D as it means i have to change my graphics settings about etc, but when they get that sorted i will always have my trusty USB shades on :-)Comment

I am anxious to see the latest generation of 3-d movies too. Apparently the technology is a long way from the old red and blue cardboard glasses.
Or am i just showing my age? :hmm:Comment
