I always lag but only in bf2. ??

ok so I play with normal ping, average lik 60, then after like 5 or 10 minutes it just jumps up to 300-800 ping! and I lag out like crazy. I thought it was my internet but it's not cause all my other games work perfectly fine online, and I download everything fast off the internet and stuff.

how do I fix this?
i un-installed the game and re-installed it and the patch aswell...

Could be Router, Firewall, Antivirus, Anti spyware or a combination of these...

My guess is internet, or bad comp? Too many files on your comp?

Are any programs enabled in the background?

Do you have the latest patch?

Is this on every server you join?

This should be in the Support section, btw.

yes its in every server
no i dont have anything running in the background
i have the 1.4 patch
the only firewall type of thing is that one program that comes with the service pack 2 for windows
other than that I dont know...

You aren't using any sharing programs like DC++ or BT? If you are constantly uploading then you will lag. Are you being a router, if so is it wireless? If so, do you have a WPA or WEP setup?

It's possible that if you are on a wireless your neighbor could be leeching your net connection and using all your upload.

I just got 2142 and have settings on high and dont get any lag. On bf:2 I get lag all the time though with settings on medium.
