Ghost Town?

Today when I was going to join my favorite server I realized that there was only 1 person and I noticed that the numbers have dropped dramatically in other servers I play in. Will this 2142 fad die or BF2 history?

All my servers are full. Trust me...2142 will have little to no impact on BF2.

I hope 2142 wont have much of an impact, at the moment there is only ever about 5 servers with people on them in NZ and i can't play overseas!

I sincerely hope that bf2142 doesn't stop people playing BF2. Although I think BF2 is mostly vets now, keeping up a pretty decent community. Whereas 2142 is new so it's a different market i.e. new gamers, dabblers, casual players etc. Hopefully the two groups aren't linked too much.

BF2142 is just a mod on BF2. The difference between POE2 and 2142 is that you have to pay for it. So guess what. People that want to have a change of pace will go to a free mod before they go to 2142, trust me.

BF2 will still be played in 6 months from now on by lots of peeps. There is also still new players coming in after one year so the future looks bright.

I havent brought BF2142 yet as my mate has brought it and hers is what he had to say about it:

I've been playing 2142 again, it is cheap in my opinion, the buildings are cheaply put together you cant go inside of them, what buildings there are they seem to be just smooth looking with lack of detail, infact most of the game lacks detail, even the menu system is crap, one good thing you can search for friends which is good, and sometimes I cant follow the radar I don't know were I am sometimes and what flag is mine I have no idea, and its really hard to find one of those big walkers.

I reckon other people will see this for them selfs and will decide to come back to BF2. But then saying that i have all the BF games and i was playing BF1942 yesterday and thats still going strong. So in my opinion it wont adfect BF2 at all.

Well a lot of 2142 player must of played bf2 since so manny have the red 2 near there name.
