Joystick axis not registering

Hey everyone,
I searched the forums but couldnt find any thread on this issue. I have a Saitek Cyborg 3D joystick and it has usually worked without any problem. I recently reinstalled XP and now, for some reason, the joystick axis is not registering in BF2. When I go to config, I am able to bind the buttons but not the axis. I click to bind it and when I move the stick, nothing happens? Any ideas? Thanks so much guys!

is the joystick setup in Game Controllers (in control Panel)?

I have had a similar type of problem and created a thread asking for advice, if i recall correctly Talus's post worked for me. Make sure you back it up just incase.

I use a Saitek X-52. I wonder if it is a Saitek specific problem?

Thanks Eagle, that did the trick. I cleaned out my profile and the reset the joystick in the control panel. Thanks everyone!
