Banned from Server (not a rant or anything... just need some help)

Hello, for a few months now, I have been banned from one of my favorite servers "for excessive teamkilling." First off, I know I have done nothing of the sort.. I often go out of my way to avoid a teamkill. I'm not even sure if I ever played on that server since I made a new account so that I'd be even with my brother.

Anyway, I've tried a bunch of things. I've reinstalled, reformatted my harddrive (for a different reason though), and I've even tried logging into it with other accounts (which work for this server on other computers) and have had no success. This tells me that its most like a problem on my end, and not the server's fault. I've tried contacting the server admins but I've received no response yet for a while. If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Chances are that you will not be able to get back onto that server period. Your best chance is to clan that runs the server’s website/forum and ask for some form of an appeal and ask to be unbanned.

Does anyone else have access to your computer, a child or sibling that may have been TK'ing on that server?

Yup you get banned by cd key (known as a cd hash) It doesn't matter whether you change accounts, re-install, or use your bf2 cd on another pc, the ban is tied to your cd key.

Best bet is to try and contact the server owners and ask for an unban.

Ah alright, that makes sense. I'm 99.99% sure that nobody else played on my computer and on that server. I guess I'll just have to try to contact the server people again. Its somewhat difficult because they all only speak french... ugghh canadians... heh.

Being banned sucks. I have been banned from a few good servers just because I'm higher ranked and tend to do a decent job of killing the admins. Some of them are just pathetic.

Try to contact the clan/server website if they have one. Ask nicley if they can remove the ban.

You can change your CD-KEY, if you buy another one. You can pick em up pretty cheap on eBay. About 15bux. I'm not sure of the registry key, but if you press me enough, I can research it and let you know. Once you change your CD-KEY you'll get a new GUID and will be able to join the server. That's my theory.

But, there are 100's of servers. So why bother....

Would you buy another copy of BF2 just to play on one server? Even if it is your favorite there are plenty of servers out there to play on. I would try contacting the server owners and ask for an unban, if you REALLY want to play there again I supose you could go out and buy another copy.

Yeah its deffinitely not worth it (for me at least) to buy another cd-key just for this one server. As EAGLE_18 said... there are plenty of other servers out there. I'll just see if I can get the admins to unban me. If not, I have a plenty of other servers i enjoy.

Go to a friends house, scale his copy of BF2, and use his CD key :p

Im banned from Wake KoK server for absolutely no reason whatsoever....I have never even been on the ****ing server and I am banned from it..........pos.

If an admin bans or kicks you for no reason, the server is not worth playing on. Period. Sooner or later they'll get enough warrantless kicks and bans and then they'll end up playing alone. That's my $0.02 anyway.

You are probably IP banned and hash banned. You'd have to call your ISP and get a new IP address and get a new copy of the game just to play there and even that might not work so it's not worth it.

I have been booted twice in the past for stealing "their" (some admins) chopper on your 24/7 City Maps many months ago, I agree its not worth it I haven't been to your server since.
