Train Mod

So Its kind of late to be thinking of an Idea like this, but want to share the public with this.

Basically you can drive Trains all around the map, some custom made car will have weapons mounted on them.

-Spec Ops can Destroy Tracks/Bridge, derail train
-Anti Tank, destroy train in a few shots

Now this is just an idea, most likely it wont turn out good...I am working on a map sort of like a train yard (static trains of course).

Hmm surreal for bf1942 had monorail trains that actualy drove across a track.

save it for bf2142 or somthing cause i bet by the time ur finished at least half the people who play bf2 have moved on to bf2142, but it's a great idea

you think so? I still havent bought 2142. And now i dont think i ever will. Just look at the player numbers - still more playing bf2 ATM AFAIK.

but yes - starting a new mod now isnt the best bet. i am not even sure if you can get a vehicle to follow a track in the bf2 engine....

Generally the older a game gets the less assholes there are. See bf'42 for an example.

not sure how much skills or capabilities you have .. but driving trains around a map is gonna be a lot of work and not that much fun.

Driving trains around a map as part of an objective which is part of a larger mod would be very cool. So if yer inspiration starts to turn into driveable trains, I am sure many mods would be interested. I know Project Reality would be.

heres the problem bf2 or 2142 wont support ppl moving about on a moving object if they not attached to a seat or stationary weapon

Wait for Quake wars, would be very easy to do i think and very fun as part of an objective.
