Freakin' CTD! uggg

I thought they fixed this issue. I get a CTD at least 2x a day. Very annoying. Anyway, just wanted to vent!

my game has crashed in the middle of the round a couple of times and I got a connection problem like 3 times in the last fives days, its weird tho coz first my game freezes for like 20 seconds then it gives me the connection error

I have CTD'd once since the release of 1.4. I have heard that others have had issues like yours. All I can recommend is that you make sure you all the latest drivers for video, bios, etc, etc.

Welcome to Battlefield 2!

Sometimes it has to do with the server, aka...running a different version than you. Or your specs lack the essential needs with the game. By far i only CTD mod related.

You may want to check if you have any video drivers conflicting.Use Driver Cleaner Pro when un-installing drivers. I experienced more CTDs when I didn't use DCP.

How much memory do you guys have? I still CTDs maybe due to a memory issue, I think the requires alot more than what the "box" says.

If you run the amount of memory the box says to run, you're gonna lag like hell, never heard of a CTD caused by insufficient memory though.

2 Gigs of ram makes the game tick by pretty well.

I have quite a lot of memory (3.25gb) and I have CTD a couple of times since 1.4. I turn off all unneccesaary processes and according to a performance analyser, which i can see during gameplay, I use about 25-30% of my memory. That equates to under a gig. However, with all the crap running it ends up way more than that

Before I tried to patch to 1.4 I'd get the occasional CTD, but with 1.4 I CTD 3 times out of 4 games.
I have another issue, and that is that my game has version 1.1.2963-795.0 no matter what patch I put on. I'll have to find a guru to tell me if my patching is taking effect.
