New Patches
I need help. My friends and I installed battlefield 2 and directly updated to the 1.3 and 1.4 patches, without going to 1.2 or anything lower. Now the game will not even start up. I am confused, do I need to install the earlier patches first.

no, try reinstalling the full 1.4 patch, then make sure you defragment your computer(s) before playing. if it still doesnt work, try updating your video card drivers, sound drivers etc. and if it still doesnt work, post your computer specs so someone can tell you the problem if its hardware related. -

Make sure you re-apply the 1.4 Full patch after installing expansions (Special Forces) and booster packs (Euro Force or Armoured Fury).Comment

Friend of mine just bought the bf2. He had no any patches and after installing patch 1.4 full version game works fine. I think all previous patches are included in patch 1.4 full version.

im guessing ur friend used the "renaming bf2.exe" tweak..and if u rename ur bf2.exe, then it wont patch properlyComment
