Concur with most of the posters - 1942 was one of the best games ever.

One New Year's Eve my kids and I had the BF 1942 World Championship.

We all played the same class on the same side for an entire round and whoever got the highest score won that round. We would also play a class with pistol or main weapon only.

We did this for all the classes and it took a few hours to knock out.

Was a lot of fun - my 10-year-old (at the time) daughter won!

BF2142 is pure crap and the death of this series.

I think it is going to be super funny when DiCE makes BF3, almost identical to BF2 but it super kickass with 1000 person servers and subscription based...almost epic sized battles. Sad thing though, they might still have ads!

I have a feeling DiCE is not going anywhere, like Origin did.

back on topic. 1942...well DC is defiantly a great game. Helos will kick your *** if you don't know how to fly them. They are 100x harder then BF2 and are wicked dangerous. When you hear the howl of Hind, you know it is your *** about to be handed to you.
