The Tremble Factor and lead shooting

I am using a logitech trackman which is kind of good for getting around. However, I generally play as a sniper and I am finding that often as I am trying to draw a bead on someone some tremble, communicated I guess from me seriously affects my aim. I don't regard my self as a particularly nervous person. In fact when giving a presentation at work I can hold a single sheet of paper motionless without tremble and showing no sign nervousness at all.

Maybe this all has something to do with fine motor skills but in any case does anyone have any suggestions for tuining my mouse settings, resolution or factor that might help? I have been considering getting a regular mouse and have been looking at the Logitech Mx518 that has some kind of in game adjustable mouse resolution settings. I don't know what that means but in any case any suggestions about a mouse in particular and the Mx518 in particular would be most appreiciated.

Finally, any one got any lead shoot advice for hitting the running target? Can't seem to find much on the web. Again appreciate it.

I got the Logitech G5 laser mouse. I love the fact that I can add wieghts to make it a bit heavier, I find that helps with tracking. Also, you can customize the resolution for the DPI that you want. I use 2000dpi as the high setting for armor and ground emplacements, and 400dpi when I feel like melon shooting people as a sniper. If you look around you can pick it up for about $50.

There is no leading in this game with rifles/pistols.

It takes no time for the bullet to reach it's destination.

You have to compensate for latency though. Which is almost impossible from extreme distances on moving targets.

There is lead required for distance shots. I've got 170 hours as sniper....trust me...sometimes when you shoot (especially with the M95) there is a 1-2 second delay between shooting and the "you have killed" message appearing. But all sniper rifles, M24 M95 L96A1 SVD Type 88, require lead at distance running targets.

Just practise, go into single player and sit on a hill and practise distance shooting and running shots. Or sit in the Crane in Sharqi and try and shoot the enemy running underneath and you'll see the need...the need for lead:)

The hardest thing about sniping someone moving is the unnatural, erratic movements they make. They can be running at a steady pace then as soon as you pull the trigger they jerk ahead very fast for a few feet. I can only assume they hit the sprint button and it gave them a boost for a few feet but still, it's very weird to see.

p.s. I have the mx518. I like it. You can adjust the dpi on the fly from a high of1600 down to a low of 400. You can also adjust the max DPI to say 1200 if 1600 is too fast for you.

If your problem is that the trackman is too light and jerky/finicky, you will appreciate a G5 or similar mouse. The weight makes a big deal in stabilizing those fine movements, and of course the fine adjustment allows for minute changes.

Even still, I find that I could use a finer resolutions still for the most long distance sniping. You just need to steady your hand. I drag my wrist and use just me fingers when fine aiming to reduce the chance of a jerk.

The trembling could be from your mouse jumping between 2 different readings.

What I mean is it could be right on the line and it can't decide which reading is correct so it jumps back and forth; in other words there aren't enough DPI. I experienced this on my older Logitech MX500 before it died and I moved to the MX518.

Hi bud,,It's Gabe from old IS BHD,,I havent seen u latetly in our server (BF2)
Let me tell u something,,might be weird but u give it a shot and then let me know..If u go to your mouse settings, u will find a setting called buffer,,it's like the refresh rate, so to speak, the lower the buffer the lower the mouse tells ur comp about it's positioning,,the higher the buffer....bla bla bla.
Also agree with some of the folks in here about the leading and the elevation,,YES,,there's also a drop in the bullet,,i've read a lot of guys saying there's not such,,but they r wrong,,beyond 250 mts u have to elevate, and the leading,,true,,depends on ur ping times,,nothing else,,so, that depends on the server u r playing in,,As far as training in single or hosting ur own server,,that'll help u out with the drop, but not with the leading, for obvious reasons, ur ping times will be 1> so there's no lag there.
Tc and give my regards to Eagle and Chuck.

you do have to lead depending on distance and speed, and you also have bullet drop, is been proven, that it is on the game code about bullet distance

                    WRONG!!!!!

leading isnt needed because of ping, its because leading was built into the game, as well as bullet drop, in a sorry attempt to make the guns seem realistic or scaled down.

                    @OP
practice leading by single shotting some ak47's or ak101 and seeing how far you have to lead them to get a hit. and do the same with the mec/china semi auto sniper.

after a while you'll get the hang of it and be able to lead the bolt rifles more easily.

and your hand spazzing is cause you are rushing to hit your target :)
