still trying to find a decent gfx card for my limited funds!

Galaxy - GeForce 6800GT 256MB W/TV/DVI 256bit GFX Card’

or this

New ATI Built Radeon X800 PRO 256MB video Card £75

is that a good GFX card for under £80?

AGP or PCI-E? Also what are the rest of your system specs? Also is £80 the max or can you go a bit higher?

Makes it easier to say one way or the other whther that card is a good fit, or if something else would be better.

i will struggle to top 90 at the min mate. due to just buying a new monitor.
im on an AMD Athlon 2.6 / 1G DDR.
I just didnt know if those 2 cards were cheap for what they are.
top cardi posted is AGP mate.

I don't mean the card you posted (neither of which indicate whether they are agp or pci-e), but whether YOU need agp or pci-e.

Also Athlon 2.6 is about as ambiguous as you can get. Is it an AthlonXP or an Athlon64, 2600+ or running at 2.6 ghz?

i believe that the 6800gt outperforms the x800 pro so i would go for that..it also supports Shader model 3.0, which isnt rlealy necessary but nice to have

with the 6800gt u will be prob high/some medium settings

Buy a OcUK 7900 GS. £20 more. Biggest bang for your buck.

simple answer to your question is the 6800GT will be a good card and runs BF2 very well, dont bother with everyone else trying to tell you to buy something else

you need at least 1.5 gb (2 gb is better) to run everything on high smoothly.
