Had a great squad game last night on UTAC. Our commander was actually commanding, squad leaders were listening and commanding their squads. It's unbeliveble how fun this game is when you have a team that is working together. We were owning the hell out of the other team. Mind you when I first joined in last night it was total chaos, everyone doing whatever they wanted. In the secound round of ORR it started to click. I think that once the players realize that you have a compident commander and SL's, they will start to follow orders and work together. BTW, you can rack up some serious points when playing this way.
Thats what I mean, being able to kick *** for 5 games in a row with your score at 63 is a great feeling.
gamekinbg, If you have both AF and EF, then come join their server. I've been having a blast there for the past few weeks, plus learning how to play much better. I used to be getting about 20 points/round, now I'm around 40+. Just follow the rules and it can be a lot of fun.

You will get dropped from the UTAC server when an EF map comes up in the rotation. There are still a few AF only servers out there.
Since you are in Austin, you might try hitting up some of the Insomnia servers, I ping about 19 there because they are up the street in Dallas. If you play on the server long enough and are really kicking ***, people will join your squad. But make sure you have a mic and are real open with people in your squad, because when you start the dialog and tell people where you are spawning as the squadleader, and where you are going, it always helps get the group organized. Esp, when you say stuff like, watch out, there is a claymore half way between K & Y. If you are one of the support rolls like Medic, you can say stuff like, "Hey Cereal, take a med pack, I am right behind you!" to build team work.
Always give objectives too, and learn to use the [T] command rose, so you can just quickly tell your team what to do on the run, like defend or attack or ask for UAV without having to toggle up a whole interface.
I just always tell people to stop F*in around and push hard. Serious people get with it.
or spam the squads with the "decommend Squad" Option when you right lick the squad in the commander screen :P
i do it all the time and sometimes they say 'Fvck you Commander' and they get really angry but i get happy

One of the best aspects of this game is when squads teams play as such. I use to play with some buddies at work in the same office. We would all join the same squad and even though we were all noobs wo could hold our own (by that i mean get our butts kicked) but it was so fun to talke to them and work as a team like "cover me im reloading" or "i need heal" that was the best. There is very few times since that company closed. That i have had that type of team work on a server but when we do man it great.

When getting into a cooperative squad the sky is the limit, you can control the battlefield. For being a game you have a big since of accomplishment, the stakes are at your hands, and all the other solo players are just peices of crap, yeah i now, there aren't many games like that.
the best thing about being a commander. You issue a LOAD of orders to attack/defend various areas and the players do nothing but see how many precious ribbons or points they can get...then..heres the best bit. They try and KICK you for not winning the round..like WTF. Firstly a lot of people dont join teams so i cant command them anyway, and then they never listen to you anyway. Unless you have a mature team that you know e.g. a clan, being commander is pointless apart from having all the toys like UAV's.
Maybe if you could get points by following squad leader and commander orders more poeple would do it . Personnaly if they devised a system like that it could also be easily exploited but it may also help poeple follow orders.
