Need HELP on making BF2/BF2142 work on my x64bit system

i have recently built a new system and tried to install bf2 and 2142... it says hasnt been tested and still lets me install. well when i go to load it up it says its missing a file for 32bit.... if you know anything i cna do to make it work PLEASE tell meh!

my system specs:
AMD Athlon 3200 64
ATI x700 Pro
WD 7200 160GB
2*1g Corsair
x64-bit OS

Don't have 2142, but BF2 runs just fine for me on XP 64.

What file did it say is missing?

missing MSVFW32.dll

Put your XP64 cd in and then open a command prompt (Start-Run-cmd) and type in the following (or copy and paste, changing x to whatever letter is your cd drive),

expand x:\amd64\msvfw32.dl_ -r c:\windows\system32

This should replace the one that is in the System32 folder. Then check the file version, the one I have is 5.2.3790.1830.

Then try installing the game again.
