Go up to at least a 7600 or 1600 if you want ATI. My wife has a 1300 pro and she learned to deal with FPS dips. I can't do that. Hell, even my system has FPS fluctuations that piss me off. My issues all started after the 1.3 patch and the 1.4 patch didn't help. Don't look at the specs on the box. Patches have effectively raised the requirement for this game.

what section should i be posting in mate?
im not after support for a problem, just simply BF2 players personal opinions.

wont i struggle to get a 7600 or 1600 with a budget of £60ish? can go up a bit but have to start looking beneath the couch!

              its still counted as support

              7600/1600 are around £90

              and nothing decent for £60

Yeah, gotta have a good vid card. If your system has video lag, then you'll end up in virtual body bag..................

                      lol ye just noticed then,
thought it might do once i asked bout system specs.
you just seem to get more help and replies in the main one.
                      but fair enough

you would get more replies but not everyone would know what their on about, hence why there is a section for it where people like me usually hide

your specs, do you mean you have a Amd Athlon 2600+? that should be running @ 2ghz ish and will be fine and fine aswell if its running @ 2.6ghz, 1gb ram is fine also but you may get some lagging, 1.5gb-2gb min/recommended to account for the changes in the patches, so more spending im afraid

                          ok thankyou.
so basically to get BF2's full potential i will need a decent gfx card looking at around spendin at least £90?
and also need to go get another stick of Ram? 512 or preferably 1Gig?

Man this games seems more bother than its worth nowadays.
Anyone selling a good GFX, can pay through paypal now!! lol

games are getting better so you need a machine that can keep up,

have you tried ebay for a graphics card?
