Karkand addiction

I need help

When i first started playing it was only at a friends house(old comp sucked) and the only map he ever played was kark. so naturally when i started playing it was an addiction. Any other maps that i go to(minus SF) i just suck horribly(not being able to fly doesnt help). i cant figure out why!!!!!!!! also, all the maps that i rarely go to seem to be extremely choppy. Karkand is getting kind of old but i cant stop. HELP!

Go play on TacticalGamers. Playing there will help you get into the other maps, and you wont ruin your stats because its unranked. As to the lag, get a better computer I guess, or lower some settings.

Oh ****, I forgot...TG switched to PoE didnt they? Well just play around in a local server in that case. Or download PoE

Indeed, play Wake Island. It is extremely addicting, as is Warlord. Warlord has all the infantry action with none of the nade spamming, and Wake has good (depending on how you look at it, I'm teaching myself to own in teh F35) air action plus lots of vehicles. It's a good challenge to try and win as USMC.

He said he couldn't fly, not much fun playing Wake on foot TBH.

OP try Sharqi or in SF Warlord, that should quench your ground-pounding thirst :p

I play Wake on foot all the time. I also prefer Kubra to Karkand, so I suppose I have peculiar taste.

The reason for sucking on other maps so bad is because you know all the little nuances with Karkand. You know where people are going to come from or where they are hiding. With other maps everything is new and surprising so of course you won't be as good. But if you pick a different map and stick with it, especially working with a Squad Leader that knows the map, you will quickly learn the little nuances and be just as successful with the new map as you are in Karkand.

Try Ghost Town... it is part of the Special Forces expansion... it's sort of like Karkand, just without all the nades. Fun map all around.

i play karkand and oil some times wake to i like all 3 any other maps im just ok at those 3 i am pretty good at.

im a hardcore groundpounder and i find Sharqi Penninsula, Mashtuur City, Warlord (SF) and Road to Jalalabad much better, more enjoyable options options to Karkand. all (in my experience) attract fewer nade/claymore/prone spammers and smacktards in general.

Yes, that is a good list to hit up. Look for servers that say City Maps only. Download Qtracker to help aid your search also.

Karkand is the biggest disease for BF2. It is like meth. It is fun the first few times, but with constant use, it will degrade everything in your life/game. I have a lot of hours on Karkand, but is not because I like the map, it was just a great, consistent map to work on badges only.

I highly recommend Sharqi. I can have very common tactics to follow in certain situations, but for the most part it is just a much better map. More dynamic in someways.

JBad is a great new addition. But if you want to truly be a well rounded BF2 player, get better at driving the FAV and play maps like Dragon Valley or Fushe. They are amazing maps that everyone is forgetting about because of the infantry concentrated maps like Karkand, Sharqi, and Mashtuur.

Make another account if you're worried about sucking. That way you can play for fun, and not worry about your stats.

Then when you're up to snuff, start playing on your main account.

Karkand is almost easy mode...I've played it enough to find out that I basically hate it. I've found a lot of joy in the other maps the game has to offer.

Besides, who wants to play on a dirty map like Karkand when you can go hand out at the Island and get some sun? There is a nice Hotel at Sharqi you can stay at...and if you visit it enough, you might be able to get in on one of the condos they are building up the street from the hotel...it is just blocks away from the beach!!!
