Ninja Sword Knife Battle?

Ok so I'm on RTJ just shooting the sh** and I'm on the USMC side and all of a sudden I see a sniper who's on my team knife this other sniper who's lying on the ground, I move in for a closer look and the USMC sniper isn't holding the regular knife but this giant ninja katana(!).
Then he tucks it away for his pistol, he was first of the round.
I can't recal his name and was to baffled to press the print screen and ofcourse BR was turned off
anyone ever seen this before?

let me know cos i'd really like that sword!

Was it POE? I've seen screenshots of a ninja type sword that is hidden in the water on the Fallen map I believe. If not then.....huh.

I seem to recall seeing somewhere that that is an easter egg on IO maps, it's just a matter of knowing where to look (and being the first one to it).

Then again it could have been POE like mentioned above.
