well here goes, when playing everything is fine untill i start running forward even walking, i push the shift key to sprint and i stop dead.Then i have to press all the keys again to start running. Now ive tried unistalling the game, hasnt worked tried uninstalling the video driver, hasnt worked tried uninstalling the keyboard and mouse driver, hasnt worked tried resetting the control commands, hant worked i now have resorted to a complete windows reinstal....to no avale.Now, before i used increment patch installs then opted for the complete 1.4 patch i havent tried going back to the increments just yet because i cant take any more of this so if anyone knows please help.

hiya, could you supply your specs, specifically whether your processor is either: a) dual core OR b) dual processor.

Try a different keyboard. Maybe your can take only 2 keys pressed at a time of something :?

iam using a dual core 3.0, 2 gigs ram and nvidia 7600GT.

ok, maybe try either downloading the amd dual core fix if it is amd, and any other patches for intel.

i have a physical 2 processor unit, and i know that the symptoms you mention happen to me if i have the game running on a cpu that i have allocated all my other tasks and services onto, so i normally separate the game onto cpu1 and and all other taks and services onto cpu0

so just to try it, when you launch bf2 ctrl-alt-del -->task manger-->bf2, right click and change the affinity to the opposite of what its on just to see if thats the problem. may well not be. but worth a try

There are no 3ghz dual core AMD's.

I was getting this also, try turning off AF and see if that helps.
I reinstalled my video drivers and it seemed to clear up

where could i get this intel patch ive been to their site and all i could find was a identifcation software also i tried the core affinity and it looked good untill i jumped in a vehicle and it done it all over again your feedback is greatfull.

Tried that hot fix still the same but all this help is giving me faith. I forgot to mention that ive been playing BF2 for just short of 2 months now and everything was fine up untill the begining of this week.
One thing was strange, today i pulled the USB to my reicever for the keyboard 'n' mouse plugged it ito a fresh socket, loaded up BF2 and it worked fine, then i was disconected then reconected and the system went back to the messed up way, I even tried to do that again but it doesnt happen anymore.

Couple of questions. Are you uesing a wireless keyboard? If so does it happen when you are trying to press more than 3 keys? I run an logitech MX duo wireless key board and have found that if i press more than 3 buttons at a time it will not register. I have become acustom to this and just work around it. Hope this helps.

yes i do,its a gigabyte technology, but it never done it before this has only just happened i just hope that its not broken because its only a few years old.Could resort to the old cables again but thats more money, really is an expensive hobbie this. Thanks for the replys guys

Have you cleaned out your comp at all lately some of the dust could interfer with your USB ports

Yes i clean inside and out once a week, its only with bf2 its doing this with.This trully is a pain in the porthole! Its really effecting my game getting up from the prone to run from direct fire or arty just isnt possible, because when i do that just as iam about to run away i frezze to the spot then get killed.
