I am asking if the next patch EA will put the same spyware and adware in bf2.
I dont want to have spyware or ads on BF2.
Good luck for the one's that will pay $50 for BF2142 to have some company looking at private files on there pc. IGA will manage the spyware, not EA. How EA can garantee what that company is looking at in peoples computers???
No it won't. I don't think the interface exists in BF2 to put ads in. They would have to do a lot of modification (I'm guessing) for adds to show up in BF2 and they're hoping most people move to 2142 so why bother with BF2? TBH, I doubt there will even be another patch for it. Yeah there's that server side patch that they're working on, but that might be it unless a serious issue presents itself and I can't honestly see how something would just spring up out of nowhere.

OK, so it says at the bottom if you do not accept the statement, do not install and go online. Now, if that is the case, could you take the software back because you did not agree with the contents after you opened it?
In game ads would be a good idea if you got the game free of charge in return (in other words : an advertising supported version of the game). Seeing ads in a game you already own aside from the usual sponsorships and endorsements is a big turn-off. EA say they need alternate streams of revenue to balance rising costs. But I would say to them don't you think it's high time you tested and fined tuned your products before launch? The ten or so patches for BF2 will have cost EA/DICE considerable amounts of cash and time. If anything this is just a reflection of how poor EA's production process really is.
To anybody who might say they're losing money from customers: 90% of BF2142 buyers probably won't even read/care about it. For the 10% of the people that return it, I'm sure EA is making more money selling ad space.
