i think they already do next generation BF2 is (bf2142).
Tanks and mechs have someting sorta like that but instead its a green shield orb that comes out in front of you.,

Its not really as cool as advertized. One time use, then you are naked again. It is basically a high tech shotgun.

2142 have spyware and ads in it. Is it worth payin 50$ for spyware and a game with same engine as bf2. After all the bugs on bf2?
