Where do I go to report a ranked server I don't think is being operated fairly/abused?
I was playing on a server owned by <}US{> (or something like that) and most of their "clan" was on one side, I was on the other, and commanding. We were getting slaughtered- it was essentially "clan versus anyone who drops in", and despite autobalance being on, the teams were clearly not balanced and they were winning every round. I said "WTF is with these teams", and was kicked for "abusive language, using 'wtf'"(you've -got- to be kidding! We're not allowed to type "wtf" on a public ranked server?) Anyway- pretty obviously their clan is set to be immune to autobalance. That's not cool on a ranked server.
I rejoined, continued fighting, asked several times that they split up and fight fair/evenly. They didn't. Next round, I threatened to report them to EA. A minute or two later, I was in the middle of a firefight, had zero teamkills, and a teammate's hand grenade killed me. I was kicked -and banned- off the server with a message about excessive teamkilling. I've -never- been banned before. Did I mention they were prolific bunnyhoppers?
*rant mode*
What is going on with BF2 these days? It's near impossible to find a game where people play fairly; seems like nobody's interested in teamwork except "clans", and any time you see some teamwork, it's usually completely self-serving (ie, squad of a few friends just racking up some kill points, not actually helping the team as a whole.) Server admins don't do anything to stop commanders from pointwhoring (ie, taking commander and then barely paying attention to their commander screens, on the off-chance they'll get the 2x bonus.)
I'm also finding with increasing frequency players that seem invincible. Guys who are lined up in the sights of a sniper rifle at reasonable range and take a heat shot with no green hit flash- or survive it if there is. I've shot from a building at a guy lying on the ground 50 feet away, into his torso, 3,4,5 times and not had a registered hit, despite his body practically filling my scope. People who I run into while playing supply kit, we both flop, and I unload half a *can* of ammo into at near point blank range and hit nothing but air- and get killed from the other guy's assault rifle. On more than one occasion, the other guy has been almost out of ammo and had time to *reload* while I continued firing at him- from a few feet away! And here I thought the supply guns were supposedly the most powerful; seems I'm always on the *wrong* end of one and get killed instantly
