Is there a ROF limit on semi auto weapons?

I was wondering if there was any maximum ROF for the semi auto weapons.

My mouse is busy dying, and it's the most fantastic addition to the game I've ever had :) It shoots only bursts, even with full auto weapaons, and one thing it's started doing if firing extreamly rapid double taps with the SVD.

With this forced burst on the RPK and the double tapping SVD's I was tearing up the server today. Good clean fun. Didn't get many podium finishes, but was in the top 5 quite often.

But the speed it double taps the SVD is fantastic. Before the crosshairs have even moved it's fired the second round.

Does this mean the faster you can click, the faster you can shoot, with no limit?

i have not experienced an ROF limit.

In real life - it would be pretty hard to pull the trigger before the bolt has cycled.

I would expect (or hope) DICE used this philosohpy - and if there is an ROF limit, it'd be pretty negligable.

While it is quite hard to pull the trigger before the bolt has cycled, it can be done. There are people out there who can operate the trigger faster than the weapon can cycle.

Personally I've only had trigger freeze a couple of times when I shoot my 1911, but you can pull the trigger before the action beens reset.
