    connection issue

Well I can play on 'X3D Infantry Only...' server and several other servers. When I try to connect to a server that I had played before that I know works; it will connect and than get in-game only to be extremely laggy and cannot click anything but hit 'ESC'. Is there some issue where you can only play on IO servers?

The X3D IO only server plays fine but also only have view distance at 74%; when I set to higher it will just disconnect upon connection.

    Athlon 3400+ 64bit on 32 bit XP
1 gig pc3200 it still had the problem and I upgraded to 2 gigs and still have same problem
ATI X800 GTO with 6.9 drivers; I have tried previous drivers to no avail.
DirectX is updated and so is PBupdater.
Sound and MB driver have been updated to latest and I have even set the settings to all low requirments and tweaked out things.

I even recently upgraded to Vista RC2 and I still have the same problems; I can connect only to the X3D IO server only with the same 74% view distance. I am stumped on this one and have even messed with refresh rates and everything.

I dunno but last thing I wanna do is RMA my video card/MB but other games have been working fine CS, Flight Simulator. Should I maybe submit a ticket for support to EA?

        Re: connection issue

I dont think that it is the servers, becuase X3D servers is Layered Technologies, Inc. So that should if it was the server open up the number of servers that you can play on.

        Next questions, lol
        Have you tried reformating?
And how old is your graphics card?

        Is this it?

Yes I have reformatted and scanned for errors on disk.
The card is a X800 GTO 256MB and the game has played fine on it before; I run on low settings anyways because I move fast.
