We might be playing a game, but unfortunately they decided to model it more or less on real world things. And they can't understand when people want it MORE real world?

Things like 2142 are perfect. You can't claim Hey this isn't real, because it isn't.

The changes in the last couple of patches were designed to make you want to move on to BF 2142.

Pretty much every change made in the past few patches was being cried for non-stop, then as soon as it got implemented, people are crying back. People were crying that they "ruined the game" when they nerfed Black Hawk insta-capping, when they made the AA actually able to hit something. When support got buffed, they whined it was overpowered, then when it got nerfed, people complained that all they do is nerf everything.

And if you hate the changes they've made to BF2, you'll be thrilled to know that almost every whiner suggestion is in full effect in 2142. Defib requires an unlock, have fun staying dead. Snipers are even more gimp. The weapons are inaccurate as crap. Combine that with the lack of grenades and pretty much any showdown is a full clip and a lot of luck. Proning sends your inaccuracy to full AND has a stand-up delay, so you may as well just unbind "Z" because all it'll do is get you killed.

yes it is, but to keep it fun, ea made it that way so we could actually like it. i dont think ppl would like to play a game where u get shot and die and could never play bf2 again cuz ur soldier is dead...somethings should have been changed like the guy said, ex: jet accelerates faster climbing up. and the f35 getting owned by all other jets.

And you are saying non-US weapons are bad? They aren't that bad, just that US weapons are over rated.

IMO the best weapons are the german weapons. In real life the USMC weapons would have the edge over the enemy They are not really overrated but they do work diffrently.

Another thing is that people can get out of a tank in less then a second

Two humvees traveling at 40mph can head-on collide and not inflict a single dent into either vehicle.

There is an invisible nut or bolt on AT mines to which a crescent wrench can unscrew and cause the mine itself to disappear.

Any given soldier can completely reconstruct their attire: headwear, armaments, and extra equipment... within 0.042563 seconds.

A soldier can deploy a parachute multiple times without ever bothering to re-pack the parachute material.

Soldiers are capable of changing to and from pilot, passenger area, and minigun positions within a Blackhawk in a matter of 2 seconds.

A rigid inflatable boat can T-bone the hull of a WASP carrier, apply thrust, and drive underneath the vessel with ease. Any given soldier that is operating this small watercraft does not require a form of oxygen supply while in/under this region.

A soldier in a freefalling state is able to enter --without a parachute-- any vehicle located in close proximity to his or her touchdown point.

A medic can provide several first aid kits, run out of them, then re-aquire a fresh supply from an unidentifiable source.

Soldiers can receive health, ammo, and repairs from a resupply crate that is in a packaged, sealed, taped, and bungee cord-wrapped condition. When the given supply crate randomly deteriorates after a period of time, all of the supplies can be seen projected from the box (which would now make these objects useful), but will immediately disappear and be of no use to the soldiers.

How about aeroplanes rearm and repair flying 50' off the runway, at 200kts?

Or you can drive, gun, reload and command your tank, while repairing the tank next to you?

No matter how many tracer rounds you fire, how many bombs you drop, how many grenades get thrown, no foliage ever catches fire.

The only STOL aeroplanes in the game are the F-35's but everything can rotate in under 50m :)

A shot to the leg or arm is as damaging as one to the center mass.

I have never read that BF2 is a battle simulator.

It's a game for fun not realism.

I personally like that BF2 is not down to the core realistic, because then it wouldnt be fun. Half-life 2 isnt fun because its realistic, niether is BF 2142. There are much more down to earth online games out there.
