Why Does My FPS Nose Dive in action?

Normally I get between 40-60fps in a normal walking around, sniping, type of gameplay.

But the second I get into a small, close up firefight my FPS goes down below 25 all the way to 15 sometimes.

I dont understand how I could take such a big hit, from a simple firefight?

depends on what settings u are running on? try turning shadows, lighting & texture to medium or low & see if that helps.

Could be a driver issue, try a diff set of drivers?

Do a system cleanup, with this tweak guide.

its because ur system is working harder to show u the action and ur gpu and cpu has to work harder. if u dont see any action..then i think (i mite be making this up) all the action in the other parts of the map isnt really being generated by ur computer but by the server and they send u that info .

have a look inside your case and see if there is any dust build up on heatsinks and fans, clean it out and try again see if it makes any differance
